Suzanne Brownell, a native New-Englander, has two decades of service as a Massachusetts-based leader, national presenter, entrepreneur and consultant in the fields of holistic health, fitness and integrative mind/body practices. She is a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, and also has a certification as a Health/ Fitness Specialist from the American College of Sports Medicine.
Suzanne is a Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with certificates in a variety of yoga therapies, and is certified to teach Pilates, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Nordic Pole Walking, Thai Yoga Body Work, and Zumba Gold classes.
Since Suzanne founded Health Thyself in 1997, she has taught hundreds of classes and workshops in both Eastern and Western traditions of health and fitness. Suzanne is a consultant for the Weymouth Health Dept., and along with South Shore Hospital, has partnered to obtain grants, such as Mass in Motion, for wellness and disease prevention. Her work with them has led to public policy changes for healthy eating and active living.
Suzanne applies her culinary arts background from Johnson and Wales to host a healthy cooking show, “Healthy-Wey,”on the Weymouth cable TV station and offer private cooking classes and chef services. Her life’s work is inspired by foremost nutrition and wellness experts such as Andrew Weil, MD, Mehmet Oz, MD, Deepak Chopra, MD and Christiane Northrup, MD.
Suzanne teaches pioneering integrative programs at various hospitals, school systems, municipalities, corporations and conservancies. She is passionate about helping all of her clients "Health Thyself" and feels privileged to see the benefits they receive from her programs.
